Here you'll find all the important info to ensure a smooth game start .
You've booked the game and received an email with your access details and the puzzle sheet attached. You're all set!
2. Download the App
Download the Loquiz App from the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android). You can also play on a tablet if you prefer.
3. Allow Permissions
When starting the app, please allow all requested permissions:
– Location: So the checkpoints can be triggered
– Camera & photo library: To take and save photos/videos during the game
Don’t worry – the app won’t access your personal photos. This is standard for any app using these features.
4. Puzzle sheet (IMPORTANT)
The puzzle sheet is attached to your email. Please print it in color to ensure the best team experience. If printing isn’t an option, you can also open it on a smartphone when needed.
⚠️ You won’t be able to play the game without the puzzle sheet.
4. Access Details & Start Point
Once the ticket is redeemed and the game has started, it remains valid only for the game duration or for a maximum of 48 hours. After that, the access code will no longer work.
5. Starting On-Site
At the starting point: scan the QR code or enter your access code manually.
Only one device per team – logging in with the same code on two devices is not possible.
6. Multiple Teams? No Problem!
Each team receives a separate email with unique access details (subject lines like “Team 1,” “Team 2,” etc.).
You can either forward the email to each team or copy and share the access code.
7. Start Page & Support
After logging in, you'll see the game’s start page with helpful info.
At the bottom, there's a Support button – if you run into issues, click it and let us know your location and the problem. We're here to help.
8. Team Name & Countdown
You'll be asked to enter a team name (get creative!) and optionally list your players.Once you click “OK,” the countdown begins.
9. No Stress – Plenty of Time
The countdown is running, but don’t worry:
You have a total of 6 hours to complete the game, which is usually doable in around 2 hours.
Feel free to take breaks, explore, or grab a coffee.
10. Rejoining the Game
If the app closes or your phone locks, just reopen the app and log in with the same access code to continue.
11. Switching Devices
Want to change devices during the game? First, log out on the current device, then log in on the new one using the same code.
12. Tip for Multiple Teams
The game is designed as a team battle – you’ll follow the same route but compete against each other. We recommend starting a few minutes apart, so teams don’t run into each other too often – it’s more fun that way. If you’d prefer to play together as one large group, that’s also possible. Just walk the route as a single team – no need to split up.
13. About the Game
The game consists of several levels, which you unlock one by one by reaching specific locations and solving tasks there.
If you get stuck, you can request hints – no one gets left behind!
From time to time, bonus tasks will appear that you must solve as a team.
The game is designed to be intuitive and easy to follow – you’ll quickly get the hang of it.
